Cool and Refreshing Drinks for Kids
Nowadays you see less and less soda in the children's parties and that is actually very good news. At the same time, it makes us look for something different to offer, something that easies to make for large groups and easy enough to serve during the party. And of course, it's better if these drinks are great for both adults and children because this simplifies the menu.
Here, I leave you three options of refreshing beverages that can be served at your little kid's party. In all three cases, these beverages can and should be prepared in advance and refrigerated until the time of the celebration. Served with ice they are an excellent option to replace refreshments.
Iced Tea
- Preparation: 10 minutes
- Serves 4 cups
Boil 4 cups of water. Add 4 tea bags of black tea and let it rest. The longer you leave the tea bags in, the stronger the tea will be. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of lemon juice (approximately 6 lemons). Mix well and serve on ice.
Pink Lemonade
- Preparation: 10 minutes
- Serves 4 cups
Mix 1 cup of lemon juice (approximately 6 lemons), add ¼ to a ½ cup of sugar, base on your taste, 4 cups of water, and 1 or 2 teaspoons of grenadine. Serve it very cold on a cup with ice.
Fruit Punch
- Preparation: 10 minutes
- Serves 8 cups
Mix 4 cups of blueberries, 1 ½ cup of pineapple juice, 1 ½ orange juice and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Keep the mix on the fridge. When serving, add 16 ounces of ginger ale.
Natural juices are also a great option for kids, the advantage of those three beverages is that they yield more when hosting a large group of people.
Hand on, squeeze those lemons and enjoy these refreshing beverages with the kids. Enjoy!
